valued clients and prospective cutomers,
The summer is coming to an end. This does not apply to
Alanya. That it will get cold and stormy. Actually it is
like a tide change from the very hot summer heat to a
nice warm climate. This is the best time for having
season changes here in Turkey, there are changes in
Alanya which are going on seemingly unnoticed also.
Slowly but surely you can see here and there some
renovation work being carried out to make the city more
inviting to the visitor. Roads upgraded to make the trip
from Antalya Airport more comfortable and safer. The
approach to Alanya changes everyday with new buildings
and renovation work to old and historic buildings so
that both can stand out and make the city beautiful.
Take for an example the village Kargicak.
Kargicak is carrying out beautification work in the
village to further improve appeal to the foreign visitor
as a location to live in. Because of building
regulations set by the local council buildings can only
have 3 floors, you will not find any high rise buildings
here to spoil your views. To further improve the appeal
you have green areas around the buildings to give that
sense of space and privacy and that all important
outlook to the surrounding countryside. If you have
visited Kargicak in the past and was scared off to buy
because of the 14 km distance from Alanya, you may relax
now. The roads between Alanya, Mahmutlar and Kargicak
will be greatly improved, increased in size, better
surfaced and lighting installed. Sidewalks will be
introduced for the cyclist. For the walker pavements
built which will include rest areas as you walk. In
Mahmutlar they are building an underpass to the main
road to allow the local population safe access to the
The local Turkish communities are working very hard to
improve the safety of the visiting tourist so that the
visitor can have a safe and enjoyable stay in there area.
We informed you in our last newsletter that the
parliament in Turkey will reconvene after a long summer
holiday. Negotiations for the “Selling – law” will be
debated on the 1st October 2005. Because of this
situation all work in the Tapu-places has stopped. But
that will not bother people who are buying apartments,
villas, plots inside city municipal limits and villages
which are connected to the cities. Only people who are
buying plots over 10.000 sq mtrs, without any building
permits and outside the city boarders will get
conditions set before they can do a bargain like this.
Unfortunately the press got a lot of the information
wrong and caused all Europe a lot of unnecessary panic
about this situation.
News about things happening in Alanya:
1. In all Alanya their will be a camera system!
The security of our guests is the first priority, so the
city minister decided to put in most of the crowded
places in Alanya cameras. So a lot of husbands have to
be carefully now, if they leave the wife at home and
take a walk on the promenade side with the holiday flirt...
2. More good news for people who have already
purchased in Turkey. They have started to introduce a
mortgage system for Turkish citizens. All Turkish
citizens can buy apartments or villas now, if they take
a mortgage credit and pay it back like they would pay
rent. For Europe it is an old story, but here in Turkey
it is brand new. So the prices will go up again.
Everyone who has not bought yet will have to hurry up.
We wish you a nice and silent autumn and that the cold
will not get you.
Health and activity until the next newsletter!
