» Ramadan 2014 in the middle of summer!

As the Christmas is sacred in Europe, it is for Turkey the Ramadan Time. This year, the month of Ramadan fell in the middle of the season. In the period from 28.06.2014 - 27.07.2014 the faithful were not allowed to eat or drink anything during the bright daylight hours.

For the sick, pregnant women and children there are exceptions. Turkey can prove its open-mindedness anew just this month. Fasting is here entirely voluntary and everyone decides for himself. In other Islamic countries, such a thing happens rather rarely.
From 28/07/2014 - 30/07/2014 the the "Seker Bayrami" (the Sugar Festival) took place.

On these three days, all the authorities and banks were closed.
We wish all people "iyi BAYRAMLAR".

» Runway extension to 2,500 meters

The "small” airport Gazipasa continues to grow steadily. The finishing works are in full swing. Are they completed, the airport will be able to handle up to 1.5 million passengers per year. In this context the extension of the runway by 500 meters to 2,500 meters in length is also very important, then e.g. even a Boeing 757 is enabled to land / take off.

The Turkish government cleared now the way for the expansion. Thus, it can be easily expropriated immediately needed areas. In addition, a parking position for a total of six aircraft will be built.

Even the check-in area is significantly increased (from 2,600 to 6,400 square meters now). The number of check-in counters will increase from currently six to 15. This is accompanied by the doubling of the baggage scanner on four in the future. To ensure a smooth process, the passport control will be expanded significantly.

» Security informed beach tourists

A total of 28 trained security guards do service to the beaches of the city, this has been launched by the Tourism office ALTID.

For tourists it is clearly good. In addition to the monitoring camera at the beaches, the Security Service comes for the tourists very well, they feel safe and can go swimming with a calm feeling. Now brochures in four language are distributed to vacationers in order to learn about this service.

The security guards work also closely with the police and the Zabita.

» ET Solar supplies modules for photovoltaic roof system

The ET Solar Energy Corp.. (Nanjing, China) supplied PV modules for a rooftop solar power system with 728 kilowatts (kWp) rated power in Turkey to the German project developer DOMILUX lighting manufacturing and distribution GmbH.
DOMILUX built the photovoltaic system in Safranbolu in the province of Karabuk.
The completion and connection to the electricity network did take place in June 2014. Exclusive supplier of photovoltaic modules was ET Solar. Turkey is becoming an important new photovoltaic market.

Photovoltaic projects with a capacity less than 1 MW, and thus do not require autorization, are booming in Turkey. This project is the first permit-free solar power plant in Turkey, has contributed to its realization ET Solar. It's also been the first Turkish reference solar power plant for DOMILUX.

» Alanya community honors a total of 81 businesses

Also this year were again numerous shops and restaurants with a special certificate - the highly respected here, "orange flag" - awarded.

With this special ceremony annually the businesses are awarded who did write hygiene on their "own flags".
And so the sought-after guest has a high level of quality assurance in relation to food and beverages. Since 2004, the Municipality of Alanya presents this "Orange Flag", which stands for a great hygiene continuity.

» Motor vehicle taxes

We would like to remind you that the second installment for your car tax must be paid by the end of August 2014.

To do this, please go to the tax office (Vergi Dairesi) in which the amount must be paid in cash. As always, this is for clients with a management contract with us in the service and we will do this for them.

Very important: Pay by the end of 08/2014 the outstanding amount!

» Motor Club Alanya / Mahmutlar

Active and sociable they are, the members of the "Motor Club Alanya / Mahmutlar". Recently a 3-day trip led them even up to Marmaris. Very important in this: have fun, cultivate sociability - and see beautiful things ...

Five motorcycles with a total of eight people eventually went on a tour to enjoy relaxed and explore the beautiful area of Kas, Kalkan, Fethiye, Marmaris, Icmeler and return to Alanya. The more than 1,000 kilometers in the saddle bring no problems at all with it. Is it any wonder? The dreamlike, mostly along the coast leading distance shall be compensated for each kilometer driven.

» Turkey is interesting for many investors

Turkey is currently very interesting for foreigners, as the euro is currently of much value. The purchase of a property or booking a luxury travel has become so very attractive.

Last year, the Turkish lira has become cheaper by 26% compared to the Euro. Therefore, it is not surprising that more and more foreigners are moving to Turkey in order to benefit from it.

The laws on real estate acquisition of foreigners have also been simplified. Traditionally, the winter is an attractive period to buy holiday homes, because the main demand is in the summer.

When this article was written, the lira is at ca. 2,8TL to the euro, while within the last decade, the lira lost more than half of its value. Agencies, which are now selling in the summer period, can expect significant discounts which they are forwarding directly to customers. It is expected that it will be a busy summer on the Turkish Riviera, despite the negative political tensions that are seen in the different media.

» Another football star goes to Turkey

The former Hoffenheim Bundesliga player Demba Ba (29) leaves the English football club Chelsea and goes to Turkey for Besiktas Istanbul. This was confirmed by both clubs on Friday.

The Senegalese striker receives at the Bosporus a four-year contract until 30 June 2018 and collects per season 2.5 million euros.

The transfer fee in the amount of 6 million euros pays Besiktas in five installments through June 2016.
